| Comment or story: | Hi! I had
my Op at the end of 1999 - just before the new Millennium. I have an ACE
pin and have to irrigate every day to empty the bowels. If anyone wants to contact me for help and reassurance with this procedure, please get in touch! |

| Comment or story: | I have been
irrigating for two years. I've just figured out what to do but I know that
there are some brilliant ideas out there. I wear a drainable because I sometimes get back flow the morning I irrigate. I've just read to cut back on the water. Which I'll do. I clean the sleeve out by filling up the irrigating bad with cold water and white vinegar. That doesn't quite do the whole job but not bad. Any other ideas I'm missing. |

| Comment or story: | Permanent colostomy Oct. 1, 2001, chemo & radiation for six months, started irrigation after 9 months -- a godsend. This has changed my quality of life dramatically -- no more bags!! I encourage everyone with a sigmoid or descending colostomy to look into this. |
